(1) Drag Queens are the originators of GLAM. (2) Direct and extreme subversion of gender restrictions is the essence of queerness. (3) For the purposes of the revolution, non-homosexuality does not preclude GLAM potential. (4) However, GLAM is a highly effective means of being aggressively and perfomatively queer. (5) Girls fucking girls or boys fucking boys in any manner at all is a subversion of the gendered lives our culture plans for them. (6) If we can communicate this choice on the streets in a visually accessible but complex and possibly confusing way, we are publicly altering the definitions of gender. It is in this pursuit that GLAM becomes useful.
