Phyllis first appears as a main character in the fourth season, though she is listed in the credits as a guest star. She is Bette's new boss and is married with two children. Phyllis comes out during this new season, following a fling with Alice, who she becomes obsessed with. She is one of two new white characters, but at least she is not as thin as the other characters.
