Characters

"Tasha Williams"

(Rose Rollins)

Tasha is one of two women of color joining The L Word in its fourth season, but comes in partway through the season. She is an officer in the military returning from Iraq and has flashbacks towards the end of the season. She begins to develop a relationship with Alice. The season ends with Tasha preparing to head back to Iraq.

Tasha's diversity also comes in layers. Though she is not extremely aggressive, she is definitely more butch than some of the other players and her guarded personality and military background add to both of these traits.

It is hard to tell much about Tasha's gender identity based on the picture, but the way she is posed supports her military image. She is certainly not as femme in this image as many of the other characters. Tasha is absent from the group media shots (see characters page) for season 4, which could be because she started the season late, but could also imply that she may not be returning next season, due to the war.
